šObsessions: Letās Fix My Office Alreadyā¦
BHYH Emergency Kits - good or bad idea?
Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again: you donāt need a picture-perfect house to start creating a space you love.
But right now? My office is not giving āØācontent queenā⨠ā and itās driving me nuts.
This month, Iām on a mission to finally finish the space where I record, write, plan, and (letās be honest) spiral with 12 tabs open. And the first step? Choosing the vibe. Iām talking wallpaper vs. paint ā bold vs. moody ā color vs. pattern ā the whole identity crisis. š
So, welcome back to Obsessions ā the monthly series where I walk you through whatās caught my eye lately and why it matters.
Why This Series Exists
Letās be real: Pinterest is a black hole unless you use it with purpose.
This series helps you get focused by showing:
What Iām saving
Why it matters
How to apply it in your own space (no million-dollar reno required)
And yes ā I always link to my favorite room of the month + break down how to get the look for less. You know I got you.
3 Quick Tips for Newbies
1. Donāt pin wallpaper just because itās pretty.
Ask yourself: Would I want to see this every day? Does it match how I want the room to feel?
2. Know your focal wall (if any).
Wallpaper or bold paint works best when thereās a clear visual anchor ā a desk, shelving, a window, etc.
3. Mood before money.
Before even looking at budget, get crystal clear on the mood youāre trying to create. Are you going for cozy and layered? Bright and punchy? Minimal and airy?
Why Iām on the hunt:
My office has good bones. The flooring is solid, the window gives me great light, and Iāve already got a few pieces I love.
But the walls? Theyāre screaming ādonāt film in here.ā
I want this room to feel like a bold, creative container ā somewhere that sparks ideas and makes me want to show up. Right now, itās feeling like the waiting room of a dentist who just graduated.
So this month, Iām gathering inspo for:
Paint colors that donāt flatten on camera
Removable wallpaper (because commitment issues)
Accent walls that make sense visually and logistically (hello, Zoom background)
The Story Behind It
This room wasnāt always meant to be mine.
When we moved in, it was technically a spare bedroom ā and it held everything from holiday decor to unopened moving boxes. Slowly but surely, I carved out corners for my desk, ring light, and creative mess.
But Iāve realized something: the space where you create should reflect the energy you want to put out.
And right now, Iām putting out⦠mild chaos.
So itās time. Time to unf*ck the office. Time to make it match the vision. Time to invest in me.My Favorite Random Room:
